CHAMPIONSHIP INFORMATION

POLICIES, PROCEDURES, & GUIDELINES:
- Prior to participating, participants should review the SCGA’s Policies & Procedures.
FORMAT:
- All teams will participate in a 36-hole, four-ball stroke play championship (two-person better ball). 18 holes will be played each day.
- All teams will play both courses during the championship. The field will be divided into a gross and net division (as selected at the time of registration).
- The gross division will compete without handicaps.
- The net division will be divided into three flights based on the combined team Handicap Indexes. Players will use their Handicap Index as of Monday, April 29.
- All women in the net division will play to 85% of their Course Handicap.
- Awards will be given to those who finish in 1st through 5th place in each flight. All ties in all flights will be broken using the USGA suggested method of matching scorecards (Committee Procedures: Section 5A (6)).

REGISTRATION:
- Registration opens at 6:30 a.m. All participants must check in at the SCGA table upon arrival on Monday morning.
STARTING TIMES AND PAIRINGS:
- Starting holes and pairings will be e-mailed to players and posted online at scga.org one week in advance of the championship.
- Shotgun start beginning at 8:00 a.m. (Both Days) Groups will be re-paired for Round 2 according to Round 1 scores.

DRIVING RANGE:
- The driving range will open by 6:30 a.m. on each day of the championship. Range balls will be provided on the range.
FOOD SERVICE AND PURCHASES:
- The snack bar and beverage carts be open for food and beverage purchases. Cash and major credit cards will be accepted for all purchases.
- The SCGA will host a luncheon during the award ceremony for all participants on Tuesday, after Round 2. Lunch will not be served after Round 1 on Monday; players will be on their own.
RULES OF PLAY:
- The Rules of Golf as approved by the USGA and The R&A govern play.

AUTOMOTIVE TRANSPORTATION, PULL/PUSH CARTS:
- Golf carts are included for each team’s entry fee.
- There will be a maximum of two carts per group and two bags per cart. Players wishing to ride will be expected to share a cart with another player.
- Each player is entitled to one seat in a cart. If a player brings a caddie, the caddie may ride provided there is a vacant seat in one of the carts. Otherwise, either the player or the caddie must walk.
- Drivers must be at least 16 years of age (or older if club policy dictates).
- Pull or push carts are permitted.
CADDIES & SPECTATORS:
- Players may provide their own caddie (see section on Golf Carts).
- Spectators are permitted but are not allowed in carts. Spectators must adhere to all policies set forth by the club.
DRESS CODE:
- Appropriate golf attire must be worn, including adhering to any club-specific policies.
CANCELATIONS & REFUNDS:
- To withdraw for any reason prior to the start of a SCGA competition, a player must notify the SCGA Championships & Golf Operations Department at champs@scga.org.
- Failure to notify the SCGA will subject the player to suspension from future SCGA competitions.
- Refund Policy:
- Cancellation prior to the entry closing date: Full refund less a $20 administrative fee.
- Cancellation after the entry closing date and more than 48 hours prior to the start of the competition: 50% of the entry fee.
- Cancellation within 48 hours of the start of the competition: No refund.
